Milan, June 6 (LaPresse) – The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), the organization supported by Israel and the United States that manages the new aid distribution mechanism in Gaza, announced that all its distribution sites in the Strip have been closed again today, with a reopening date to be announced later.

The Times of Israel reports that the GHF is urging residents to stay away from these sites "for their own safety."

The closure was announced on the first day of the Muslim holiday Eid al-Adha. The sites had already been shut down several days ago after a series of shootings near aid centers targeting people waiting to receive supplies. Two sites in the Rafah area had reopened yesterday afternoon, and the GHF said nearly 25,000 boxes of food were distributed following the reopening.
