Milan, June 6 (LaPresse) – "Chivu represents the right profile for Inter, but I cannot yet give the official confirmation for bureaucratic reasons." This is what Inter president Beppe Marotta said speaking from the stage at the Serie A Festival in Parma, effectively confirming Cristian Chivu’s imminent arrival as the new Inter coach after Simone Inzaghi’s departure. "On Tuesday, our coach told us he felt his time with Inter was over and that he wanted to experience working abroad. So we faced a problem," he explained, "but there was no confusion. We were partially prepared and acted accordingly. Many different names came out, but the first thing to verify when changing a coach is to identify the profile based on the company’s guidelines and strategies."
"The right profile was to find a young coach who could develop our youth talent, but this is not a limitation because Inter is a great club that always has the obligation to try to win. And to do that, money alone is not enough," Marotta concluded.
