Mollicone murder, the Court of Cassation orders a retrial for the Mottola family

Rome, March 11 (LaPresse) – Judges from the first criminal section of the Court of Cassation have annulled the acquittals, ordering a retrial for former Carabinieri station commander of Arce, in the province of Frosinone, Franco Mottola, his son Marco, and his wife Anna Maria Mottola. They are accused of voluntary manslaughter and concealment of the corpse of Serena Mollicone, the 18-year-old student killed in Arce in June 2001. The Attorney General of the Court of Cassation, during his summation this morning, had urged the annulment of the second-degree acquittal and called for a retrial.
