Naples, 13 Mar. (LaPresse) – ’I have spoken to the head of our Civil Defence and the situation is under control for the moment. We are waiting for a reliable, serious and rigorous assessment from the scientific organisations that must tell us what level of prevention we need to reach. We will approve a declaration for general mobilisation, it is not a state of alarm otherwise we would have to close everything, but we will approve a request to the national government for a national civil protection intervention appropriate to the problem that has arisen’. This was said by the President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, regarding the 4.4 magnitude earthquake in the Campi Flegrei. ‘Many more interventions will be necessary to verify the state of safety of the buildings. Technicians and resources are needed and therefore it will take an extraordinary commitment from the national government’, concluded the governor.
