Bad weather: red alert tomorrow in Emilia Romagna for rivers, schools closed in Bologna

Milan, March 13 (LaPresse) – Red alert for river flooding tomorrow in Emilia Romagna, and schools of all levels closed in Bologna. The Region has issued the alert particularly for river flooding, smaller watercourses, and the risk of landslides. Affected areas include the mountains, hills, and plains of Bologna, as well as the bordering territories of Ferrara and Ravenna. Intense thunderstorms are expected from the early hours of the morning, with the highest likelihood along the central-eastern Apennine range and the central plains of the region, followed by rain later in the morning and towards the evening. These rains may cause widespread rises in water levels exceeding threshold three for the Reno River and its tributaries, and threshold two with possible exceedances of threshold three in the Romagna basins. For this reason, the Municipality of Bologna also announced via its social media profiles the closure of all schools of every level, including their gyms, for the entire day tomorrow.
