Ukraine, Macron to Putin: ‘Ceasefire as soon as possible and negotiations’

Milan, July 1 (LaPresse) – French President Emmanuel Macron "has called for the establishment, as soon as possible, of a ceasefire and the start of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia for a solid and lasting resolution to the conflict." This was announced by the Élysée Palace in a statement regarding the phone call between Macron and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Macron also "emphasized France’s firm support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity," added the Élysée.
