Milan, July 6 (LaPresse) – Carlos Alcaraz has advanced to the quarterfinals at Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam of the tennis season on London’s grass courts. In his Round of 16 match, the Spanish player — seeded No. 2 and ranked No. 2 in the ATP rankings — came from behind to defeat world No. 14 Andrey Rublev in four sets: 6-7 (7-5), 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 in 2 hours and 47 minutes of play. In the next round, he will face Britain’s Cameron Norrie, who beat Chile’s Nicolás Jarry in five sets.
