Iran, Pezeshkian: "Israel tried to assassinate me"

Milan, July 7 (LaPresse) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Israeli authorities attempted to assassinate him, but failed. "Yes, they tried, but they failed," Pezeshkian said during an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson. The Iranian president added that the assassination attempt took place about a week and a half ago and clarified that the United States was not involved. "I was in a meeting, we were discussing the next steps and, with the help of intelligence from their spies, they [Israel] tried to strike the area where we were meeting," he explained.
