Turin, 16 July (LaPresse) – In Singapore, Gregorio Paltrinieri won silver in the 10 km open water event at the World Swimming Championships. He described it as a tough race, swum in extreme heat—possibly up to 35°C in some areas. Despite the poor pre-race organization and uncertainty the night before, Paltrinieri used his experience to stay calm and manage his energy well. He overtook Lee mid-final lap and held off Klemet to secure second place. “A perfect race,” he said, after dedicating the entire year to this event following last year’s disappointing result in Paris.
