GDP, Giorgetti: ‘Satisfied, public finances better than expected’

Milan, March 3 (LaPresse) – ‘Today's Istat data confirm, as I have always maintained with conviction, that public finances are in a better condition than expected’. This was stated by Economy and Finance Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti. ‘The primary surplus certified today by Istat,’ Giorgetti continued, ‘is a moral satisfaction. The growth corresponds to what we had updated in December.’ 'Of course all this is comforting and a reason for satisfaction. But we cannot stop,' concluded Giorgetti, for whom “now the challenge is growth in a very problematic context that is not only Italian but involves the whole of Europe”.
