Ukraine, Tajani: ‘One-month truce proposal is premature’

Algiers (Algeria), Mar 3 (LaPresse) – Concerning French President Emmanuel Macron's proposal for a one-month truce in Ukraine ‘I believe that everything must be done together in order to arrive at a just and above all lasting peace. So it is still premature to see what to do and how to do it’. This was stated by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani during his mission to Algeria. ‘In the meantime we need Europe to be united to guarantee Ukraine's independence,’ he added, ’we are friends of Ukraine and I believe we will always have to take charge of its security and that of the whole of Europe together with NATO.
