Seoul (South Korea), August 4 (LaPresse) – The South Korean military has begun removing loudspeakers positioned along the border with North Korea, in a move aimed at easing tensions between the two countries. The loudspeakers had previously been used to broadcast anti-North Korean propaganda messages across the border, but South Korea's new liberal government halted the broadcasts in June as a gesture of goodwill in an attempt to rebuild trust and revive dialogue with Pyongyang.
