Ukraine, Tusk: "Russian invasion could soon be frozen"

Warsaw, Aug. 8 (LaPresse) – Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, after a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, told reporters that he believes the Russian invasion of Ukraine could soon be “frozen.”
"There are some signs, and I also have a feeling: maybe a freezing of the conflict — I’m not saying the end of the war — but a freezing of the conflict could happen sooner rather than later," said the Polish leader, according to The Guardian.
"There is hope. Today is the deadline for the U.S. ultimatum. President Zelensky is very cautious, but still optimistic," he added.
