Middle East, Carney: ‘Israel's plan for Gaza City is the wrong decision’

Milan, 8 August (LaPresse/AP) – Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has stated that Israel's plan to conquer Gaza is wrong and puts the lives of hostages at risk. ‘We join many others in believing that this is the wrong decision, that this action will not contribute to improving the humanitarian situation on the ground. It will put the lives of hostages at risk rather than reducing the danger to them,’ Carney said. ‘We reiterate our call for an immediate ceasefire,’ he added.
