Middle East: warning sirens in Tel Aviv, Hamas claims rocket launch

Rome, 20 Mar (LaPresse) – Alarm sirens have sounded in central Israel following the launching of rockets from the Gaza Strip. The warning was activated in Tel Aviv and several suburbs. The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, immediately claimed the act in a note, speaking of a ‘barrage of M90 rockets’ in response to the ‘Zionist massacres against civilians’. The Israeli army confirmed that three long-range rockets were fired from the southern Gaza Strip into central Israel. Meanwhile, there have been 504 casualties in the Gaza Strip since the resumption of Israeli attacks. This was reported by the Hamas-controlled Gaza Ministry of Health.
