Rome, 30 August (LaPresse) – The women’s national volleyball team advances to the quarter-finals of the Volleyball World Cup currently underway in Thailand. At the PalaHuamark in Bangkok, Julio Velasco’s girls defeated Germany, led by Italian coach Giulio Bregoli, 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-11). Paola Egonu was the top scorer with 21 points (4 blocks and 1 ace).
