Milan, 1 September (LaPresse) – Bassem Naim, a member of Hamas’ political bureau, told the pan-Arab newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat that ‘Gaza is not for sale’, commenting on the post-war plan reported by the Washington Post, which calls for ‘the reconstruction of the Strip and its transformation into a tourist resort and industrial centre’. Naim described the plan, known as the Gaza Reconstruction, Economic Acceleration, and Transformation Trust, as ‘worthless.’ He added, ‘Gaza is part of Palestine.’
