Seoul: ‘2,000 North Korean soldiers killed fighting for Moscow in Ukraine’

Seoul, (South Korea) 2 Sept. (LaPresse/AP) – According to South Korean estimates, North Korea has sent around 15,000 soldiers to Russia since last autumn. In its latest briefing with lawmakers, South Korea’s spy agency, the National Intelligence Service (NIS), said it believes about 2,000 of them have died in combat so far, Lee said. Kim has also agreed to send thousands of construction workers and military deminers to Russia’s Kursk region, and the agency estimates that the first 1,000 are already in Russia.
