Milan, Sep 9 (LaPresse) – One of the main vessels of the Global Sumud Flotilla bound for Gaza “was hit by what is suspected to be a drone”. The activists announced this on their social media channels, also posting a video of the attack, which reportedly occurred last night in Tunisian waters. The ‘Family Boat’, according to the Flotilla, “was carrying members of the GSF steering committee,” including Greta Thunberg. “The vessel sails under the Portuguese flag, and all passengers and crew are safe. An investigation is underway, and as soon as more information is available, it will be published immediately,” reads a note from the Global Sumud Flotilla. “Acts of aggression aimed at intimidating us and obstructing our mission will not discourage us. Our peaceful mission to break the siege on Gaza and show solidarity with its population will continue with determination and resolve,” the activists add in the statement.
