Milan, Sep 9 (LaPresse) – Giuseppe Guida, provincial coordinator of Forza Italia in Caserta and mayor of Arienzo, has been placed under house arrest as part of a Naples anti-mafia investigation into corruption, bid rigging, money laundering, and self-laundering. The Carabinieri Investigative Unit in Caserta executed the order this morning, issued by the Naples judge, involving 16 others as well. Among those arrested is former Udeur regional councillor Nicola Ferraro, a waste management entrepreneur in Casal di Principe. Also under investigation is former Caserta public health director Amedeo Blasotti. The investigation uncovered various illicit activities centered around Ferraro, who has been previously convicted for his involvement with the Casalesi clan as the main business figure for the Schiavone-Bidognetti criminal group.
