Madrid (Spain), Sep 9 (LaPresse) – The Spanish government has banned entry into the country for two far-right Israeli ministers, Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir. The announcement was made by Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares at a press conference following the cabinet meeting. The two Israeli ministers have been “included in the official list of sanctioned persons”; “persons on this list cannot enter Spanish territory and are included in the Schengen information system,” Albares explained. The measure is part of the cabinet-approved package called ‘Measures against genocide in Gaza and in support of the Palestinian people,’ containing the nine measures against Israel announced yesterday by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. “The measures apply immediately,” Albares stressed.
