Rome, Sept. 14 (LaPresse) – After being eliminated in the 100 meters semifinal at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Marcell Jacobs is reflecting on his future. “Last year I made myself a promise: if I had another difficult season, I don’t know how much longer I could keep going,” he told RaiSport. “I need to take some time and figure out whether I want to keep suffering like this. I know that next year should be a bit calmer, but I’m not sure.”
Analyzing his race, he commented: “I know these are not my real times, but right now this is how I’m running. Relay? We’ll see, maybe someone else is in better shape than me. We’ll decide.”
