Milan, 3rd March (LaPresse) – UEFA has fined Roma 20 thousand euros for ‘violation of the fundamental rules of decent conduct’ by coach Claudio Ranieri during the match against Porto in the Europa League playoffs. After the first leg ended 1-1, the Giallorossi coach ironically asked the referee assigned to the return leg, Roberto Rosetti, why he had sent a referee to Porto with whom the teams never won away from home, and he also prevented his players from shaking hands with the German referee because ‘he didn't deserve it’. Roma were also fined a further 11,000 euros for ‘improper conduct of the team’.
