Rome, Sept. 21 (LaPresse) – Italy confirms itself at the top of women’s tennis. The Azzurre claimed their sixth title in eight finals at the Billie Jean King Cup, defeating the USA 2-0 today. After Elisabetta Cocciaretto’s victory over Emma Navarro, the decisive point came from Jasmine Paolini, who beat Jessica Pegula 6-4 6-2. Only the USA (18 titles), the Czech Republic (11) and Australia (7) boast more triumphs in the women’s team world championship.
