Ukraine: Russian attack overnight in Zaporizhzhia, Sumy and Kyiv, at least two dead

Turin, 22 September (LaPresse) – The Russian army launched an attack overnight in the regions of Zaporizhzhia, Sumy and Kyiv, killing at least two people and injuring several others. This was reported by local officials. In Zaporizhzhia, missiles struck civilian and industrial infrastructure, triggering several fires that destroyed apartment buildings, private residences and vehicles. According to preliminary information, two people died and two others were injured. At around 4 a.m., Russian drones also struck the north-eastern city of Sumy. Three attacks in the Kovpakivskyi district sparked fires and damaged industrial facilities and a school. One person was reported injured. The Kyiv oblast was also attacked during the night: fires broke out in residential buildings in several neighbourhoods and one man suffered shrapnel wounds, according to regional authorities.
