Strike for Gaza: protesters on railway tracks in Turin, train service suspended

Turin, Sept. 22 (LaPresse) – Several hundred people are walking on the tracks between Porta Nuova and Lingotto Station in Turin, where a section of the protest march organized for the general strike in support of Gaza and Palestine broke off near the Corso Sommeiller overpass. Thousands had already blocked the entrance to Porta Nuova station, and now some have moved onto the tracks, causing train services to be suspended, also due to the strike. According to initial reports from the police headquarters, about 8,000 protesters are involved.
