Russia, Putin: “We Are Capable of Responding to Any Threat”

Milan, Sept. 22 (LaPresse) – “I stress, and no one should doubt it, that Russia is capable of responding to any existing or emerging threat. This response will not be merely verbal, but through the use of military-technical measures,” said Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with the Russian Security Council. “Our plans to strengthen the country’s defense capability are being developed taking into account the changing global situation and are being implemented comprehensively and in a timely manner,” Putin added, emphasizing: “Russia has no interest in escalating tensions or fueling an arms race.”
