Salis case, MEP beaten by reporter with neo-Nazi photo: ‘I am innocent’

Milan, 24 September (LaPresse) – AVS MEP Ilaria Salis, at a press conference in Brussels, responded to a question from a journalist who stood up and showed a photo of a neo-Nazi who, according to the allegations, had been beaten by far-left activists, including Salis herself. ‘I am tired of receiving accusations and defamation,’ said the MEP, ‘not even the Hungarian judiciary has ever accused me of beating that person. I have already stated and reiterate my innocence, which is why I am asking to be tried in a country where there is the possibility of a fair trial.’
