Middle East: 20 injured, including 2 seriously, by Houthi drone attack on Eilat

Jerusalem, 24 September (LaPresse/AP) – Twenty people were injured, two of them seriously, in an attack carried out by Yemen’s Houthis using a drone, which struck the city of Eilat in southern Israel. This was reported by the Israeli emergency services. It is unclear whether the injured were hit by the drone or by an interceptor. The Houthi rebels, backed by Iran, have been regularly launching drones and missiles against Israel in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza. The vast majority have been intercepted or have fallen in open areas without injuring anyone.
