Rome, 28 September (LaPresse) – Polling stations opened at 7 a.m. this morning in the Marche region, where citizens are called to elect the new president of the Regional Council and the councillors who will make up the legislative assembly. Polling stations will remain open until 11 p.m. tonight and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow, Monday 29 September. Counting will begin immediately after the polls close, i.e. from 3 p.m. tomorrow. There are six candidates for the presidency of the Regional Council: Francesco Acquaroli (centre-right coalition), Matteo Ricci (centre-left coalition), Claudio Bolletta (Democrazia Sovrana Popolare), Francesco Gerardi (Forza del Popolo), Lidia Mangani (Italian Communist Party) and Beatrice Marinelli (Evoluzione della Rivoluzione).
