Rome, 29 September (LaPresse) – Stellantis employees have gone from 37,288 in 2020 to 27,632 in 2024. The result is that 9,656 workers have been lost in four years. These are the figures that emerged from research by the national Fiom-Cgil study centre “Stellantis: the great escape from Italy”. “This number is certainly influenced by voluntary departures: in particular, through trade union agreements that Fiom-Cgil did not sign, specific departure initiatives were defined, with retirement support for older workers and voluntary leave through termination of employment,” the unions say. The redundancies declared in 2024 were 3,700 and 2,352 in 2025, for a total of 6,052. The costs of these restructuring measures for Fiom-Cgil amount to €777,276,000. With regard to the use of social safety nets at Stellantis, as of 1 September 2025, out of 32,803 employees, 20,233 are affected by layoffs and solidarity contracts, or 61.68%. The situation is no better for workers in the component manufacturing sector of the client companies examined, with approximately 8,523 out of 13,865 workers involved in social safety nets.
