Milan, Oct 1 (LaPresse) – Hamas has asked mediators to introduce some changes to U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza. This was reported by the Saudi broadcaster Al-Sharq, citing sources close to the ongoing negotiations in the Qatari capital, Doha.
According to the sources, the requested changes specifically concern clauses on disarmament and guarantees for a complete Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.
“The leadership of the movement has informed the mediators of the need to provide international guarantees for a full Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and guarantees that the occupation will not violate the ceasefire, as is currently happening in Lebanon,” a source told the broadcaster.
