EU, Metsola: “A new level of provocation, we must prepare better”

Brussels, Oct 1 (LaPresse) – “The European Parliament expresses full solidarity with Denmark following the sightings of unidentified drones near your airports and military sites. I do not want to speculate, but after the drones in Poland and Romania and the entry of fighter jets into Estonian airspace, it is clear that we are facing a new level of provocation: on land, at sea, and now also in the air. This is a new reality. It highlights the need to honestly assess our defensive capabilities and our readiness. And if the past few days have taught us anything, it is that we must prepare better.” said the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, in her speech at the informal European Council in Copenhagen.
