Flotilla, Erdogan: ‘Banditry from Israel’

Milan, 2 October (LaPresse) – ‘I condemn the banditry that targeted the Global Sumud Flotilla, which had set sail to draw attention to the barbarity in Gaza, where children are dying of hunger, and to provide humanitarian aid to the oppressed.’ These were the words of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, condemning Israel’s intervention to stop the flotilla. ‘This attack by the Israeli government against civilians sailing in international waters has once again demonstrated the madness with which its genocidal forces are trying to hide their crimes against humanity in Gaza,’ Erdogan added, according to Turkish media reports.
