Milan, 2 October (LaPresse) – Following the settlement agreement reached by the parties (pursuant to Article 126 of the CGS), Bari footballer Giuseppe Sibilli has been fined €20,000 and suspended for 16 months, eight of which will be commuted to alternative measures (a treatment plan of at least eight months; obligation to participate in a cycle of at least 16 public meetings over a total period of eight months, at amateur associations and/or youth and school centres and/or gambling addiction recovery centres). Proceedings were brought against Sibilli for violating Article 4, paragraph 1, and Article 24, paragraph 1, of the Code of Sports Justice, for having placed, at least from the 2022/23 season to the 2024/25 season, at authorised bookmakers, numerous bets on the results of official matches organised within the FIGC, UEFA and FIFA.
