Turin, Oct 4 (LaPresse) – “Tomorrow is not my revenge, it’s a fantastic match.” Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri said in a press conference on the eve of the league clash with Juventus.
“I was lucky to spend four years at Milan—this is the fifth—and eight years at Juve,” he added. “I met so many people, and that’s the best part.”
Regarding the lineup, the Livorno-born coach explained: “Tomori is fully available; he had a minor adductor strain, nothing serious. Leao had a great week; it’s the first since August 17. Against Napoli I played him even though he wasn’t supposed to enter so early. The team is in good shape; tomorrow we need to raise our focus even more to get the result from Turin.”
Focusing on the Portuguese forward, Allegri said: “Leao is eager to perform; it’s not in my hands but in his own. There’s an old saying: ‘help yourself and God will help you.’ He knows this is an important season. He needs the team and the team needs him. He’s in good condition, improving, and wants to give his best like everyone else—this is the most important thing.”
