Rome, Oct. 6 (LaPresse) – Around 40,000 residents in the Belgorod region have been left without electricity following drone attacks by the Ukrainian armed forces, according to the region’s governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov.
“We heard a report from energy experts on the nature of the damage caused by last night’s shelling of Belgorod. We suffered significant damage to the power grid in seven municipalities: nearly 40,000 residents are currently without electricity,” he said in a video posted on his Telegram channel.
Gladkov noted that emergency teams are carrying out all necessary work to restore electricity to residential buildings, social facilities, and businesses by tomorrow.
