Israel criticises Greta Thunberg for post with photo of hostage

Turin, 8 October (LaPresse) – Israel has harshly criticised Greta Thunberg. The Swedish activist expressed solidarity with Palestinian prisoners on social media, writing that their suffering “is not an opinion, but a fact of systematic cruelty and dehumanisation. Humanity cannot be selective. Justice cannot have borders.” Attached to the post was, among others, a picture of Israeli Evyatar David, who is still being held hostage in Gaza. The Israeli Foreign Ministry replied: ‘Ignorance blinded by hatred is trendy: Greta Thunberg posted about “Palestinian prisoners” using the image of Israeli hostage Evyatar David, who is starving, mistreated and forced by Hamas Palestinians to dig his own grave,’ the post reads.
