Gaza, Egypt confirms: Monday summit with Trump and over 20 leaders

Cairo, Oct 12 (LaPresse) – Egypt has confirmed it will host an international summit on Monday in Sharm el-Sheikh, on the Red Sea, to finalize an agreement aimed at ending the war in Gaza. According to a presidential spokesperson’s statement, more than 20 leaders will attend the summit, including U.S. President Donald Trump, who will co-chair the summit with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. The meeting aims to “end the war in the Gaza Strip, intensify efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East, and inaugurate a new era of regional security and stability,” explained the Egyptian presidency.
