Gaza, Witkoff: “Visit to verify that Israel respects the agreement”

Washington, Oct 12 (LaPresse) – U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff confirmed that he traveled to Gaza this morning with Centcom chief Admiral Cooper and Jared Kushner “to verify Israel’s compliance” with the hostage release phase outlined in the U.S. plan to end the Gaza war. “We received detailed briefings on security, humanitarian aid, and efforts to resolve the conflict,” Witkoff wrote on X. “With sustained commitment, peace remains within reach,” he added.
