Middle East: UN welcomes aid delivery to Gaza, cooking gas for the first time since March

Milan, 12 October (LaPresse/AP) – Concrete progress has been made with aid trucks entering Gaza today, according to United Nations officials. Eri Kaneko, spokesperson for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, said that cooking gas supplies have been delivered to Gaza for the first time since March. Other aid arriving includes flour, fruit and meat. He added that officials have been granted additional access to transport medical equipment and help Palestinians move from flood-prone areas to safer places before winter.
