Milan, 15 October (LaPresse) – Hamas must renounce its weapons and demilitarise, otherwise ‘all hell will break loose’. This is what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview with CBS News on Tuesday, the day after Donald Trump’s visit to Tel Aviv to celebrate the agreement on the first phase of his 20-point plan for Gaza. Netanyahu said he was confident about a peaceful next phase in the agreement between Israel and Hamas and, now that the living hostages have been freed, he said the next step must be demilitarisation and disarmament. ‘First, Hamas must hand over its weapons,’ Netanyahu said in an exclusive interview in Tel Aviv. “Second, we must ensure that there are no weapons factories inside Gaza. There must be no arms smuggling into Gaza. That is demilitarisation,‘ he added. On Tuesday, Trump warned that if Hamas does not disarm, ’we will disarm them”.
