Madrid (Spain), 15 October (LaPresse) – Spain ‘is a reliable ally’ of NATO, providing maximum deployment on Europe’s eastern flank, which is ‘fundamental’ to the security of the area. This was stated by Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares speaking to the Iberian media in China, where he is visiting, after US President Donald Trump once again threatened Spain with additional tariffs if it does not increase its defence spending. The head of Spanish diplomacy said that Spain’s commitment to NATO and everything that contributes to Euro-Atlantic security ‘is beyond question’.
