Bologna: Vildoza and his wife released without trial after summary proceedings

Parma, 16 October (LaPresse) – Virtus Bologna player Luca Vildoza and his wife, Milica Vildoza, were released without trial. This was announced by the police headquarters in a correction. The two were arrested last night following an assault on several healthcare workers in Viale Silvani at the corner of Via Calori, near Porta San Felice, in the capital of Emilia-Romagna. According to reports, at around 11 p.m., a patrol car from the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office intervened after receiving a report of an assault on healthcare personnel. The paramedics had pulled over the ambulance to locate the site of an emergency call when a black car approached and the driver began to shout at them for no apparent reason. The tension escalated when one of the operators, an Italian woman born in 1970, got out of the vehicle to ask for an explanation: the young woman grabbed her by the hair and neck, while the man then blocked her arm and lifted her by the neck. The other healthcare workers intervened to separate them, shortly before the police arrived. The two attackers were arrested. This morning, they were released before the summary trial, which did not take place, contrary to what had previously been announced by the police headquarters.
