Rome, 17 October (LaPresse) – Rome public prosecutor Lucia Lotti has requested the indictment of thirty people involved in a demonstration on 7 January 2024 in front of the former headquarters of the MSI in Via Acca Larenzia, in the capital. The defendants include members of the CasaPound movement, accused of mimicking Roman salutes during the public demonstration. Several of the suspects are represented by solicitor Domenico Di Tullio. The preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 9 December. Investigators allege a violation of the Mancino law, which prohibits gestures and symbols linked to fascist ideology. The defence, on the other hand, argues that the event was commemorative in nature.
