Brussels, Oct. 17 (LaPresse) – Lorenzo Musetti was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the ATP 250 tournament in Brussels, played on hard courts. The Italian player, ranked No. 8 in the world, lost in straight sets to Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, ranked 37th in the ATP rankings, with a score of 6-4, 7-6 (8) in one hour and 24 minutes. The Tuscan player, chasing valuable points to qualify for the ATP Finals in Turin, saved two match points in the decisive second-set tiebreak before committing two consecutive double faults that cost him the match. In the semifinals, Mpetshi Perricard will face Czech player Jiri Lehecka, ranked 17th in the world.
