Campi Flegrei: earthquake measuring 2.5 on the Richter scale

Milan, 17 October (LaPresse) – An earthquake measuring 2.5 on the Richter scale struck the Campi Flegrei area. The epicentre was recorded in the municipality of Pozzuoli, in the province of Naples, near Monte Barbaro. The tremor was recorded by the Vesuvius Observatory of the INGV, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology. The earthquake was recorded at 11.15 p.m. at a depth of 2.97 km. The event may have been accompanied by a rumbling heard by residents in the area near the epicentre.
