Swimming: Ceccon second in the 100m backstroke in Westmont

Rome, 20 October (LaPresse) – Thomas Ceccon finished second in the 100m backstroke on the final day of the second stage of the World Cup in Westmont. Ceccon took second place, one hundredth of a second off his personal best and five tenths of a second off Simone Mora’s Italian record set in 2024. It was a high-profile race for the 24-year-old Italian champion from Schio – registered with Fiamme Oro and Leosport, trained at the federal centre in Verona by Alberto Burlina – who swam in 49‘60. As predicted, the Hungarian and Cup leader Hubert Kos won in 48’78.
