Sacchi murder: final sentences confirmed for Pirino, De Propris, and Kylemnyk

Rome, Oct. 23 (LaPresse) – The Court of Cassation, rejecting the appeals, has definitively confirmed the sentences for the murder of Luca Sacchi, who was killed during the night between October 23 and 24, 2019, in the Caffarella district of Rome. Marcello De Propris was sentenced to 25 years, and Paolo Pirino to 24 years and one month. The sentence for Valerio Del Grosso, the material perpetrator of the crime, who acted during a failed drug deal that escalated into a robbery, was already definitive for 27 years.

The three-year sentence for Anastasiya Kylemnyk, the victim’s girlfriend, for violation of drug laws, was also confirmed.

“Finally, after six long years, justice has been served. For all those responsible for Luca Sacchi’s death, the crime of voluntary manslaughter has been definitively established. From today, Luca can rest in peace, because the perpetrators of this atrocious act have been brought to justice,” declared the civil party lawyers Armida Decina and Paolo Salice, who represent the victim’s family.
