Trump: ‘I would like to meet Kim Jong Un’

Milan, 27 October (LaPresse) – “I didn’t mention it, I didn’t say anything, but I would very much like to meet him if he wanted to. I got along very well with Kim Jong Un, I liked him, he liked me, if he wants to meet me, I’ll be in South Korea.” Speaking to reporters on Air Force One, US President Donald Trump said he would very much like to see North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during his trip to Asia, although there are no plans for a scheduled meeting. Trump will visit South Korea later this week, where he will attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit. When asked if he would consider extending his trip to facilitate a possible meeting with Kim, Trump replied that he was open to the idea. ‘I hadn’t thought about it, but I think the answer would be yes, I would do it, I would do it, sure. It’s our last stop, so it’s pretty easy,’ Trump said, according to CNN. ‘I have a good relationship with him, I would very much like to see him,’ he reiterated.
